Managing Partner, Director of Investment Research

Brett co-founded BBR Partners in 2000 and is a Managing Partner, co-managing the firm and overseeing BBR’s investment approach and implementation. He has extensive experience vetting investment opportunities across the asset class spectrum and through a range of market environments, working with both traditional and alternative investment managers. Brett is also a member of BBR’s Executive Committee and Investment Committee.

Prior to founding BBR, Brett was a Vice President in the Equities Division of Goldman Sachs, where he worked to manage the firm’s relationships with private investment partnerships. Previously, he served in Goldman’s Equity Capital Markets groups in New York and Hong Kong. He began his career in Goldman Sachs’ Corporate Finance Department.

Brett graduated summa cum laude with concentrations in Finance and Accounting from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He is an active alumnus of the University of Pennsylvania, having formerly served as the Chair of the Penn Fund, the University of Pennsylvania’s undergraduate annual giving program, and currently chairs the Undergraduate Financial Aid Leadership Council. He is a member of the board of the UJA-Federation of New York, he chairs the Investment Management Division and he co-chairs the Task Force on Agency Capacity and Excellence, as well as serving on the endowment’s Investment Committee. Brett was awarded The Inaugural Alan C. Greenberg Young Leadership Award by UJA-Federation of New York, Wall Street & Financial Services Division. He also serves on the Programming Committee of the Greenwich Roundtable.

Brett enjoys spending time with his wife, Natalie, and twin sons Benjamin and Brian, especially biking, watching sporting events, and travelling to see family.
